What we collect
When you send the contact form: your name, email address, brand, and anything you choose to write. We use this only to reply to you and, if we work together, to manage that relationship.
When you accept analytics: Google Analytics records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which device they use. It helps us understand which pages are useful. If you decline, Google Analytics does not load.
When you visit any page: Netlify, which hosts this website, processes your IP address and basic browser details to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. The same applies to the private client pages we host on pbvagency.com addresses.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.
Why we are allowed to use it
- Contact form: to answer the message you chose to send us, and to take the first steps toward working together if you ask us to.
- Page visits: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
- Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Client records: to carry out our agreement with you and to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping invoices.
Who helps us
- Netlify hosts this website and receives contact form messages.
- Google provides Google Analytics, only if you accept it.
- Google Workspace is where our email and documents live.
Each of them processes your data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement.
Where your data is stored
Netlify and Google are based in the United States, so some of your data is stored or processed there. Netlify also keeps temporary copies of our web pages on servers around the world so they load quickly wherever you are. Contact form messages are never stored in those temporary copies.
These transfers outside the European Union are protected by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and, where the provider is certified, by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept for up to two years, unless we start working together, in which case they become part of our client records. Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Invoices and contracts are kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, receive a copy of it, or object to how we use it. If you accepted analytics, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Email pauline@pbvagency.com and we will reply within a month. You can also contact the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
